  • Represented estate in connection with fraud and breach of contract claims arising from a settlement agreement resolving an earlier estate related lawsuit.

  • Defended homeowners from claim for attorney's fees in connection with an appeal arising from the homeowners' successful prosecution of a builder's fraudulent transfer of real estate. Baker Boulevard Partners v. Sparks, 2007 Tex. App. LEXIS 7099 (Tex. App. --Fort Worth 2007, no pet.).
  • Preserved lien claims of an automobile title lending company in connection with bankruptcy cases under Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Assisted municipality on issues arising from the Chapter 11 case of tenants at the municipality's airport.
  • Represented oil and gas pipeline company in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in connection with debtor's assumption of pipeline contracts and defended related preferential transfer claims.     
  • Preserved the right of national company to remain in leased locations during sales of property in the bankruptcies of multiple landlords and developed national policy for company to implement in bankruptcies of its landlords.
  • Recovered full payment of client’s claim, interest and attorneys’ fee in excess of $1,000,000 in connection with real estate developer’s attempt to value and partition collateral between client and other secured creditors.
  • Recovered 85% of claim asserted by largest non-corporate medical care provider in the bankruptcy of a large health maintenance organization.
  • Preserved shareholder claims against corporate directors and a lender in the bankruptcy of a publicly traded company by causing the appointment of an examiner and creation of a litigation trust to pursue shareholder claims.
  • Enforced operator’s rights in oil and gas wells for publicly traded company.
  • Prevented eviction of concept restaurant from its flagship store and reinstated lease after default.
  • Counseled non-profit corporation in connection with operations, fund raising, and employee and volunteer relations.
